These hand building workshops provide a wonderful opportunity for all ages to come together and have lots of fun, and to enjoy creating and working with clay and colour.
During each half day workshop everyone will be able to make one item following a project set by the teacher. The project is different each time, and could include for example animals, vases, houses, etc.
These will be ready to collect, after two firings and glazing, a few weeks later.
Half-day hand building workshops are open to adults, teenagers and younger children. Bookings welcome for adults and teenagers 13+. Younger children (7-12 years) are also very welcome if an adult attends the workshop too.
Both mornings (9.30 – 12 noon) and afternoons (1.30 – 4 pm) are available to choose from. Please note that we can't control the proportion of adults and children that book onto each workshop.
These pottery workshops provide a great opportunity for a “Taster Session” if you are contemplating joining a class. There is nothing like a full hands-on experience, working within a group of like-minded people, and getting a good feel for the facilities, energy and atmosphere of the studio.
Pottery workshops includes teaching, materials, glazing, firing and refreshments. These workshops are led by Helen Ashton.
