STUDIO Session Postnatal Pilates New Foundations

This short course of classes is designed to help to support you through your postnatal restoration and recovery. Focusing on women's health, the classes are suitable for both new mums and not-so-new mums. We will work at a gentle pace to strengthen, reconnect and rebalance your body, reestablishing the natural energy between breath and core, and rebuilding the strong foundations which underpin onward recovery. These classes are also a really lovely way to meet other mums. Babies are welcome to be with you.
If you have recently had a baby, current guidelines suggest that you should wait until after your 6-week postnatal check before attending an exercise class. If you had a more complicated delivery or a caesarean, your recovery time will be longer (12wks). Please talk to your midwife, health visitor or GP before attending our classes.
These are minimum recommendations and you may not feel ready to exercise until much later than this. Please listen to your body and only attend when you feel ready and are given the go ahead by health professionals. We do advise a 1:1 session first wherever possible.

To enable your teacher to offer you suitable modifications, a health questionnaire must be completed before you join a class and we request that you inform your teacher if your health changes at any point, or if you have any injuries that we should be aware of.

What to wear: something comfortable that you can move in and has plenty of stretch - leggings or jogging bottoms.
What to bring: a Pilates or yoga mat if you wish, or if you don't have one, we have spare mats at the studio. A water bottle is advisable.
Fees are payable in advance of the course beginning by BACS or PayPal. To help us to manage our class bookings please pay promptly.

You will find Cscape Pilates Studio through the small courtyard of Sully's Frames. Roadside parking is available. There are also council carparks either end of Commercial Road, both just a couple of minutes walk from the studio. Great coffee a few doors down.
