After the success of our first round of the project we are pleased to annouce that we will be running a second round of our Dragon Boat project funded by the National Lottery. We have decided to open two teams up to memebrs of the public to book on.
This project consists of 2 evening training sessions followed by a full day tournament where you will race against other teams. We ask that anyone who signs up can commit to all 3 dates!
Dates and times:
Tuesday 25th August 5.30pm-7pm
Tuesday 1st September 5.30pm-7pm
Saturday 5th September 10am-3pm
This project is for any aged 18+
Please meet us at Durham Amatour Rowing Club 15 minutes before the start time of your session.
You will need to bring: towel, change of warm clothes and trainers you do not mind getting wet. You may get a little splashed.
You will need to bring a spare pair of shoes to wear on the session, water shoes or old trainers are perfect (NO crocs, sandals or wellies)
We provide all specialist equipment - buoyancy aids, helmets, waterproofs and craft/paddles.

Drive down the lane and just prior to the rowing club is the entrance to a gravel car park on your right. You can park here then meet us outside the Rowing Club. Please be aware that this is a pay by phone car park and you will need to arrange payment for your own vehicle. Currently charges for this car park are; £0.80 for up to 1 hour, £1.20 for up to two hours £2.30 for up to 4 hours, £3 for up to 6 hours & £5 for up to 24 hours.
Please be aware that you are not allowed to park in the tarmac car park directly outside of the rowing club and will be issued a ticket should you park there
