These special days are a great opportunity for Home Educator families to visit the museum at a quieter time (we don’t take any school bookings on this day) and to take part in additional activities aimed at those children who would be in Years 1 – 7 were they at school. We don’t take any school or group bookings on this day, however we do offer a limited number of tickets to general public visitors.
What's included in the price?
• Full access to the museum galleries (including under 5's areas)
• A mix of bookable and drop-in activities for children aged 5-11yrs
• 10% discount in the Gift Shop all day (only available on 13 March and to booked HE families)
• 10% discount off the Eureka! Annual Pass (only available on 13 March and to booked HE families). This must be purchased before 3pm on the day.

The Bubbles Show
Times (various): 30 minute show
Age range: 5yrs and over
Ray Bubbles is back with a show just for our Home Educator families! You will be wowed by the magical, sensory experience and some incredible tricks!
Drop-in workshop
Water Crafts
Age range: 5yrs and over
Have a go at making your own water fizzer and water colour sun catchers! Get hands on with a different type of bubbles as we make our own unscented water fizzers that you can use in the bath or experiment in the sink with.
Please note that during your visit a member of our team may ask for feedback on our activities as well as questions about what you'd like to see from our Home Educator programme.

To book on to the Home Educator Day you must have at least one paying child aged 5 years or over.
All bookings should be made online via Bookwhen, we are unable to take bookings over the phone.
Payment must be made at the time of booking and if you are an existing Annual Pass holder, you’ll need the email address linked to your account.
Bookings will close at 4pm on Wednesday 11 March 2026 (or earlier if capacity is reached).
