This course is specifically for those who have had zero to little experience throwing on the wheel.
Personal attention and tuition will be given as class sizes are limited to 3 people. Get in the throwing zone and become friends with wheels Pete, Patrick and Myrtle!
10am: Introduction to throwing and clay prep followed by a demonstration of centring clay and pulling cylinders.
10.30: Spin time! It’s your turn to find your style and get going.
11am: Another demonstration showing basic shapes to play with before you carry on with your pieces.
12.30: We will stop for a break and rest our bodies. Please bring your own lunch but refreshments are available. I do also have a microwave if you want to bring something boujie to reheat!
1.30-3pm: Practice and play time! Once you have thrown your pieces, you can then choose 2 pots that you would like to keep to be turned and glazed. Additional pieces you wish to keep will have a £5 charge per piece.
Wear old clothing that you don’t mind getting pitted and some lunch. Various shops, chip shops and baguette bars are nearby though.
