Give your child the ultimate experience this spring with our Young Farmers Academy! Over 8 weeks, your child will dive into farm life, discover the joy of animal care, and learn real-world farming skills in a hands-on environment. Perfect for budding farmers and nature lovers!
Ages (6-12)
Why Choose Young Farmers Academy?
Hands-on learning: Get up close and personal with farm animals like guinea pigs, rabbits, alpacas, chickens, pigs, ducks, and sheep.
Practical skills: Kids will learn everything from feeding to animal care, basic farm maintenance, and allotment growing.
Engaging Games: We’ll mix education with fun every week through exciting farm-based games and challenges.
Small Groups: With just 8 kids per session, each child gets plenty of personal attention and hands-on time with the animals.
Recognition: At the end of the course, kids will receive a Young Farmers Badge or Certificate to celebrate their achievement!
Here’s What Your Child Will Do Each Week:
🐰 Week 1: Meet the Animals & Animal Care – Get familiar with the farm’s animals and start learning the basics of animal husbandry.
🌱 Week 2: Allotment Adventures – Plant seeds and learn about sustainable farming.
🐔 Week 3: Egg Collection & Poultry Care – Discover the world of chickens and ducks, plus a fun egg hunt!
🦙 Week 4: Alpacas & Sheep – Learn how to care for our alpacas and sheep and explore wool crafts.
🐖 Week 5: Pig Care & Feeding – Understand how pigs are part of sustainable farming and enjoy a piggy storytime.
🐇 Week 6: Small Animal Handling – Handle guinea pigs and rabbits, learning how to care for small animals properly.
🚜 Week 7: Farm Skills & Practical Tasks – Work together on real farm chores and take on a fun team challenge!
🎓 Week 8: Graduation Day! – Celebrate their hard work with a tour of the farm and a special ceremony to receive their badge or certificate

Our farm is located within Kibblestone International Scout Campsite. On arrival, please head to the meadow care farm section of the car park, where a member of our staff will meet you.

Our farm is located within Kibblestone Scout camp site on arrival please head to the Meadowcare farm section of the car park and a member of our staff will meet you. In the case of any difficulties please call 07769173015 we kindly ask you to stay at your car until our staff come to you for safeguarding reasons of other children visiting the site, at the end of the session your child will be escorted by a member of staff back to the car park area.
