Adaptive Teaching

This course has been developed to support teachers in using adaptive teaching strategies to meet the needs of all pupils, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning for every child.

It will focus on evidence-informed approaches aligned with best practice, including recommendations from the EEF, and will:

• Provide an overview of adaptive teaching and its role in high-quality instruction
• Explore how to maintain high expectations while flexibly adapting teaching to support all learners
• Demonstrate how scaffolding, explicit instruction and diagnostic assessment can be used to enhance learning
• Present practical strategies to ensure all pupils are challenged
