Come along and join our chair yoga class with Lindsey on Tuesdays.
There will be invitations during the class to stand and use the chair to support yoga poses and movement as individual students feel is appropriate for them. The class can however be completed as chair based movement and modifications will always be given. Traditional yoga practices will be taught in stages and students are encouraged to listen deeply to what they need taking the support and modifications needed moment to moment to feel safe. There’ll be use of techniques for breathing and body awareness whilst mindfully building strength, range of movement and offering opportunities to explore balance and posture. A chair is a useful tool and can help you access the movement and yoga postures with more ease.
Yoga is a way to practice being gentle, balanced and giving, nourishing mind and body. A regular Yoga practice is proven to be beneficial for health & wellbeing, physically & mentally .
Om Yoga Works is in Springfield Commercial Centre in Farsley
In its past life the centre was a mill, making beautiful cloth, now it is a hub of activity.
Home to many businesses large & small. There are fantastic public transport links & plenty of parking onsite. On an evening you can park in any of the 'reserved' parking spaces but during the day please avoid using these.
Our studio is on the 1st floor of building 15. Entrance is via a door under the chimney with Springfield/Gaunts displayed on top. There is also a lift to the left as you come through entrance door.
The studio is warm, welcoming and fully equipped. You dont need to bring anything, but if you have your own yoga mat and other bits please do bring them along. There's filtered water freely available and the best stocked yogi tea cupboard in Leeds ;-)
If you are purchasing a 4 week trial please note that the trial must commence within 8 days of ticket purchase and be taken over the following 4 weeks.
