Step into spring with Maymana (fungi.futures) for a gentle neighbourhood foraging walk around Siobhan Davies Studios.
Step into spring with Maymana (fungi.futures) for a gentle neighbourhood foraging walk. Together we’ll pay closer attention to the plants that usually go unnoticed - the so-called weeds pushing through pavements and the tender spring greens returning to our public spaces. With guidance, we’ll learn how to recognise a handful of common species, hear some of their cultural and ecological stories and consider what they offer urban landscapes (and us).
This is a slow, welcoming walk for the curious rather than the expert. No prior knowledge needed - just bring your attention and curiosity for noticing. The walk will focus primarily on learning about the plants rather than harvesting, so there’s no need to bring bags or containers.
We’ll end by gathering for hot drinks at the studio, with space to continue conversations and share what we’ve found."
This walk will begin with meeting at Siobhan Davies Studios. Then the route will be shared to attendees closer to the time.
