Sunset Ecstatic Dance & Cacao Ceremony on the Dunes
Come gather in community on the wild, windswept dunes of Gwithian Towans – a place where sky, sea and land meet in spacious beauty.
We’ll open with a ceremonial sharing of cacao (optional), inviting heart connection and presence, before moving into the dance on the most extraordinary natural dancefloor – a wide stretch of gently undulating grass, held by the curves of the dunes and open to the vast Cornish sky and views of sea and sunset.
As the sun sets into the ocean, we dance in communion with the land, with each other, and with the elements - barefoot, alive, and present. This is an invitation into states of connection with body, breath, nature and community.

Bring drinking water, clothes suitable for weather, it can be warmer or colder than you think, layers for after sunset, and your whole beautiful self.
A blanket if you want, so that you can keep warm if you lay down, and for after the dance, something waterproof, and it could be good to have something waterproof to sit/lay on like a yoga mat if weather or ground is damp. Comfortable shoes for dancing, or you can dance bare foot.
If the weather is wet, we will re-schedule. You will be refunded or offered another session if we have to cancel due to weather.

You take the B3301 towards Gwithian from the roundabout near Lidles at the top end of Hayle (just off the A30)
Just before you get to Gwithian there is a small road on the left to Gwithian Beach and Sunset Cafe (if you get into the village of Gwithian you have gone too far). Take this road and you will see a small carpark almost immediately on your left - Park here if there is space, if not there is another small carpark on the right a few metres further down the road. If both car parks are full you can park in the lay-by just after the turn from the B3301. Parking is free. At the bottom of the little road is also the main car park for Gwithian Beach (about 10 mins walk from the other carparks and is free off season). Also there is lots of free parking space in the Lidles car park (it extends around the back) so you could also arrange to meet people there and travel to the spot in less cars if that works for you.
From the first little carpark on the LEFT take the path to `Upton Towans’ it is the path closest to the main road and furthest from the sea. The path forks - take the right fork and continue along the path and you will find us - I will fly the flag and leave some signs with arrows 🙂
