A 245D provider's Designated Coordinators (DC) have many responsibilities to not only the people supported, but also to staff and all those compliance requirements. Correction Orders from DHS Licensing Reviews are revealing that many Designated Coordinators may not truly understand these responsibilities and how to implement practices that follow 245D requirements. Chapter 245D has very specific responsibilities for this position, including professional oversight of the services being provided to each person. This course dives into the critical responsibilities of a DC, including what licensors are looking for, and offering practical guidance on their implementation.
Course topics:
Being a DC can feel overwhelming especially when more and more responsibilities fall onto the shoulders of this position. Many DCs find themselves being held accountable for compliance to Chapter 245D without understanding how their role is vital to that area. This session is a fantastic introduction to the DC's world of responsibilities. Once completed, other STAR Services virtual and live trainings are available to advance a DC's understanding and skills to the next level. Join us to gain valuable tools and insights for how DCs can confidently fulfill their responsibilities.
Audience: current or aspiring Designated Coordinators. Supervisors of Designated Coordinators would also benefit from this session to further their awareness of the DC job responsibilities!
