O nce you have paid your deposit, we will then only correspond via email. All future payments are to be paid directly to us, we will no longer be using Bookwhen for this event.

Eryri/Snowdonia has some of the most amazing and beautiful landscape. There also happens to be some of the best swim spots there too!
Join us as we take you to some of the most memorable swims.

About the weekend:

You will need a certain level of fitness and mobility to get to these locations. We will be walking part way up Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon, along steep paths with very varied terrain. This will include rocky, uneven paths, grassy banks and stone steps.
The longest walk is a maximum of 50 mins, taken at a leisurely pace. We want the walks to our swim locations to be as gentle and enjoyable as possible, they are not speedy hikes. We will stay together as a group, to enjoy each other’s company, chat and share this incredible experience.

This weekend is suitable for solo adventurers as well as small groups of friends. We will all be moving and swimming together, which always brings people together.

We will swim several times a day, so preferably, attendees will have had some experience of cold water swimming. These are mountain waters, so prepare to be cold.

With the guidance from an experienced cold water and ice swimmer, and a qualified open water swim coach, I can help you to enjoy this exhilarating experience.
I will give a safety talk before we enter the water, and cover such things as cold water shock, breathing techniques and after effects. The sessions will not include any distance swimming, it is more about the experience of the cold water, rather than how far we can swim. The swims are all about enjoyment and to experience the unbelievable beauty of our environment.

You can wear either a wet suit or just regular swimming costume/trunks. It is essential to wear something on your feet like water shoes. You could wear a woolly hat to swim or wear a regular swimming hat.

Please bear in mind that there are no changing facilities at any of our swim locations, so maybe consider a towelling robe, changing robe or even a sarong if you prefer to be more discreet when dressing.

Kit List

Swim suits. There will several swims on each day. Recommend minimum 3x swimwear.
Water shoes (essential)
Water gloves (will make your swim much more comfortable)
A flask or thermal cup, something to take a hot drink along with you.
Something to stand on whilst getting dressed, eg: a yoga mat, picnic blanket, bath mat or even a thick carrier bag.
Towels
You can wear wetsuit, or rash top & leggings if desired, but not essential.
Appropriate shoes/boots for the walks to our swim locations
Lots of warm clothing, easy to put on layers.
Woolly hat
A bag suitable for carrying your kit to the swim spots, eg, a backpack.
Something to put your wet gear into (carrier bag or wetbag)
Bedding.
You may also want earplugs & sleep mask, as you could be sharing a room. Also bear in mind that you could be sleeping on a top bunk.

Throughout the weekend we will also be practicing Classic Mat Pilates. Pilates is low impact and suitable for everyone, and all levels of fitness. We will work to build strength, improve posture, mobility and coordination and increase flexibility. Bringing balance to mind, body and soul.
You will need a mat and comfortable clothing to move in.

The accommodation is exclusive use of a lovely bunk house in an idyllic village at the base of Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon. Guests will be sharing same-sex bunk rooms, maximum 4 people people per room. You will need to bring a sleeping bag/bedding and towels.

There is free parking on site and a pub and a tea room within a 2 minute walk from the accommodation.
An evening meal (vegetarian) with be provided on the Friday and Saturday evening. Breakfast will be provided on the Saturday and Sunday mornings, and lunch will be provided on the Saturday. We would advise to bring snacks/drinks. We will provide teas and coffee throughout the weekend. Please get in touch if you have dietary requirements.

Total cost of weekends £325 if you take advantage of the early bird offer, ending on 14/2/25, after that date the full price is £345.
Deposit £100 plus booking fee (to pay now) to secure your space, non-refundable
Balance £225 (early bird price) or £245 (full price) to be paid in full 6 weeks prior to event start date. This is paid directly to our business account, not through Bookwhen

Check in & check out
Check in on the Friday is at 5.30pm and check out is at 11am on the Sunday, but we do have one final swim to share with you on Sunday morning before your drive home. We will leave the bunkhouse at 11am to drive to our final swim together.

Terms and Conditions:

1 . By paying a deposit to Wild Swim and Pilates Events, you are accepting these terms and conditions
2 . Prior to attending the event you must have filled in and signed a health questionnaire and disclaimer (which we will email to you)

  1. We do not share customer details with any third parties. Payment:
  2. Full cost of the weekend is £345 or £325 with the early bird price, per person
  3. A deposit of £100 (non refundable) will secure your space 6 . The outstanding balance of £245 or £225 (early bird price) is to be paid in full, 6 weeks or more prior to event start date, via bank transfer. 7 . Payment plans can be arranged at your request, as long as we receive the full amount prior to the 6 weeks before the event start date. Cancellation by you: 8 . If full payment is not made 6 weeks or more prior to the start date of the event weekend, it will be assumed that you wish to cancel your booking.
  4. Cancellation 6 weeks or more before event, lose the non refundable deposit.
  5. Cancellation 4 weeks or more, but less than 6 weeks before event, 50% of full cost is refunded
  6. Cancellation less than 4 weeks before event, but more than 1 week, 25% of full cost is refunded.
  7. Cancellation 1 week or less before event, no refund available. Travel Insurance: 1 3. Travel insurance is recommended. If you choose to buy insurance please ensure that your travel insurance covers unexpected cancellation, sickness, losses and all other risks associated with travelling and taking part in the event. 1 4. You should bring your own travel insurance policy with you in case of an emergency. I f we cancel: 2 0. Although rare, swims can be cancelled , even at the very last minute, due to various factors (weather, safety, health, etc) Swim locations can also be changed if we deem necessary regarding weather, safety etc. 2 1. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel the event in its entirety, you will have the option to receive a full refund or to move to another event date.
