Join us for the first of many BY THE FIRE events at The Burlands.
On Wednesday 15th July, we are welcoming Sue Pengelly, Psychic and Historian from Haunted History Tours of Devon for a cosy evening around the fire, sharing hidden history, true stories and the darker tales of Devon’s past.
Expect stories of murders, prisons, brothels and rebellious antics from days gone by. Funny, enlightening and insightful stories of people from the past who were once reviled and despised, which only makes them even more interesting. Everyone loves a rebel.
Sue will also be sharing ghostly experiences from buildings visited on her tours. These are not sanitised history talks. If there is a secret, or something was hidden, Sue is going to tell you.
The fire will be lit, so bring your own drink, bring your camping chair, sit back and enjoy a relaxed evening under the stars.
