Transparent / Fluid - Storytelling Double Bill

Join storyteller Vickie Holden for a very special double bill of unique one-act shows Fluid and Transparent.

Written for adults, the performances contain themes of gender, identity, parenting, LGBT history, change, personal development, transition, belonging, and myth. Inspired by lived experience, you’re guaranteed a double bill of warm, engaging and thought-provoking performances that are characterful, quirky and unique.

Vickie Holden is an independent professional spoken word artist, writer and performance storyteller whose work has been seen at Cambridge University, Hertford Book Festival, East Anglian Storytelling Festival, Scottish Storytelling Centre, Chelmsford Theatre, University of Hertfordshire, BEAM Hertford, Watford Palace Theatre, as well as countless schools, libraries and events. She is joint Artistic Director of Pākiki Theatre. Her storytelling style is warm, engaging and characterful. The shows Transparent and Fluid have been inspired by the gender journey of her close relative.

Transparent was seed-funded by Watford Palace Theatre and was a featured event in HackneyPride365 2023 celebrations.
