Hassle-Free Mealtimes with Children
Session 2 of 5 bite-sized workshops focusing on key parenting challenges during your child's early years.
Mealtimes are important to all families, not only because of the food we consume, but also because they are a way for families to share, communicate and spend time together. For many parents, mealtimes can be a stressful experience, especially when children are fussy eaters or misbehave at the table. The important thing is for children to learn good mealtime habits and for meal to be positive experiences for the whole family. Parents can teach children good mealtime habits by creating mealtime routines, encouraging behaviour they like and having clear limits and expectations. This is an invitation for us to explore this together.
This 2-hour discussion group can be taken as a stand-alone session or as part of an integrated series. The group will be facilitated by an accredited Triple P practitioner and will include discussion of positive parenting strategies, active skills training, problem solving and developing a personalised parenting plan.
The session will involve following a Powerpoint presentation and a booklet; group discussion will also take place. It is therefore advised you do not bring your child(ren) to assist with maximizing the learning opportunity.
