We get involved in serious bushcraft here. This is a step up from Foxy's (our younger group). We take on ambitious projects that use a range of skills and knowledge. We are led by the group and work together to ensure each member is able to achieve within their abilities. We have been described as an alternative to Guides and Scouts for those that prefer smaller groups, that are dedicated to the outdoors and inclusive of individual needs.
First and foremost is the commitment to nature. We aim to instill a love and connection with nature and wildlife. Alongside that, we work with the seasons to provide a wide range of activities along with firm favourites of campfire cooking, knife work, and when we can fit it in hanging in a hammock for those precious moments of just being in the woods.
There is a maximum group size of 8, with 2 instructors.
This activity takes place in our woods just outside Thaxted. Full details and directions will be provided after booking.
Please wear clothing appropriate to the weather conditions on the day - particularly suitable footwear. Our activities are woodland based, which can be a cooler environment than being out in the sunshine.
