Everyone can improve their flexibility, regardless of age, gender, or fitness level. Whether you are a dancer wanting more freedom of movement, have always wanted to achieve flat splits, or are looking to improve your overall health and wellbeing, working on your flexibility can benefit you.
We will work towards front splits, middle splits, and back bends, with a focus on safe practice and fun.
There is no flexibility without strength; expect techniques based on yoga, circus arts, classic fitness training and rehabilitation exercises. The learner is always in control over their limits and the tutor will never push anyone into a deeper stretch.
Learners will need:
🖤Yoga mat
🖤2 x yoga blocks
🖤Resistance band/booty band/loop band
If you have sensitive knees you may want extra knee padding or a thicker mat.
Flexibility is a journey, and this course aims to arm learners with good habits, motivation, and the exercises required to achieve their goals. Flexibility isn't about trying a new fad every week, it's about consistently showing up and enjoying the process.
