The foundational burlesque course covers pin-up walks, bombshell poses, seductive glove and stocking removal techniques, introduction to feather fan dance, and fun routines as well!

By the end of the course you will have all the ingredients and lots of ideas ready to put together your first burlesque solo!

It is not necessary to have any dance or stage experience as we'll teach you everything you need to know. We practice the art of strip tease in class, but nudity is not necessary- you can save it for the stage!

You will need:
💜 Opera gloves (long, just below elbow or longer. (Fingerless gloves wont work!)
💜Stockings (hold ups are great, no need for suspender belts etc. Fishnets are not advisable)
💜Corset (optional). Under bust or over bust is fine. Avoid ones with tiny hook-and-eye fastenings! Better to have one with busk loops (these are larger metal fastenings) or alternatively a zip, or swing hooks
💜High-heels are encouraged but optional, keep them to a manageable heel height

For your first class you only need heels (bare foot is also fine) and we will discuss everything else you will need in the coming weeks! Wear clothes you can move in- leggings and vest is ideal.

Once you have finished the course there is the option to join the ongoing open level classes and have the chance to perform in a show! Many Chicas Locas students go on to perform solo as well as with the group.
