Intro to Sewing Crash Course is a condensed one-day class introduction to basic machine sewing. If you’ve never touched a sewing machine before, if you’re sew-curious, if it’s been a few years and you’re looking for a refresher, or if you have a new machine you’re getting to know, this is a perfect class to jump start your sewing journey.
You’ll learn:
Fabric and supplies for your drawstring pouch are included in the supply fee.
You can bring your own machine (please make sure it’s in working order, has the power cord and foot control, and bring or download the manual) or rent one of ours. Please email beehiveclasses@gmail.com to let us know if you need to borrow one of our machines.
We strongly recommend you complete this class or have equivalent experience before taking any of our other machine sewing classes.
This class begins after store closing time at 5pm. The sign will say closed, but the door will remain open for students only. Feel free to arrive prior to class start time at 5:30pm to look around and choose your fabrics for class! Your instructor will be able to ring you up if you'd like to buy any items during class.
CLASS POLICIES
o Your spot will not be reserved in the class until payment is made in full.
o All students or their Parents/Guardians must sign a waiver before participating in class activities. This should be provided as a check box in your checkout process.
o This class has a 3 person minimum. Class may be cancelled if minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class.
o Beehive Craft Studio reserves the right to cancel a class at any time.
If we do so, you'll be issued a full refund.
o Inclement Weather Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that weather would make traveling to class dangerous. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o COVID Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that health conditions would make attending class dangerous for teachers and students. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o Mask Policy: All students are strongly encouraged to wear masks during workshop time.
o No refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of workshop. Refunds will be processed online within 48 hours of cancellation with the funds going back to your method of payment.
o Everyone works at different speeds and while we expect everyone to finish by the end of the workshop we can't guarantee it!
Please bring a positive attitude, a snack and a drink with a lid to prevent spilling.
