Winds of Change: Block of the Month (Tuesday Session) - Adult Beginner Quilting Workshop - Ages 17 and up - For Beginners

JoAnna was inspired by quilt makers she has met over her years of quilt making to
develop this quilt "Winds of Change," which includes over 12 techniques put together in a modular design.
The colors were taken from a photograph of a sunrise she witnessed on a lovely beach.
Printed instructions are included each for each months block/s. The techniques you’ll
learn include:

Join JoAnna once a month to complete this beautiful quilt. A color inspiration class is
available to those who would like some help deciding on a color scheme.

Supply List Block of the Month:
Not all supplies are necessary for the first class. JoAnna will email prior to class.

Choose 5 colors or color variations. You’ll need a ¼ yard of 10 fabrics of each color in
values ranging from light to dark.

• Neutrals ¼ yard of 10 fabrics or 2 ½ yards of one fabric.

• Binding 1 yard

• Sewing machine in good working order

• Neutral thread

• ¼” Patchwork foot for your machine

• Rotary Cutter, mat and 6 X 24-inch ruler

• 12” Add-a-quarter
  Optonal Rulers:

• 6 ½” square

• 6 X ½” like Super Seamer or similar small ruler

• Large Square like 9”, 12”, 15” or 18”

• 6” Clammy (9” or 12” Clammy will work if you already have one)

• Transparent Template Plastic

• Fine Point Sharpie

• Sewline Pencils in both white and black

• Extra Fine Patchwork Straight Pins

• Fine Grain Sandpaper approximately 8 X 10 inches

JoAnna has been teaching quilt making over 20 years starting in her own quilt shop and later in Austin for the last 8 years. She received an MFA in Fiber Arts from Southern Illinois University. Her quilts have been published in books and traveled in exhibitions across the world. She loves helping students beginning and advanced develop their skills. Quilting brings her great joy and she wants to share that with her students.

CLASS POLICIES
o Your spot will not be reserved in the class until payment is made in full.
o All students or their Parents/Guardians must sign a waiver before participating in class activities. This should be provided as a check box in your checkout process.
o This class has a 3 person minimum. Class may be cancelled if minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class.
o Beehive Craft Studio reserves the right to cancel a class at any time.
If we do so, you'll be issued a full refund.
o Inclement Weather Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that weather would make traveling to class dangerous. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o No refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of workshop. Refunds will be processed online within 48 hours of cancellation with the funds going back to your method of payment.
o Everyone works at different speeds and while we expect everyone to finish by the end of the workshop we can't guarantee it!
