Lego and Wellbeing Workshop - Building Skills Brick By Brick

A Calm Cats LEGO® Free Play & Wellbeing Session

Does your child love LEGO®?

Looking for a relaxed activity where they can build, create and enjoy being themselves, without the pressure of having to follow instructions, complete a challenge or join in with a group activity?

Our LEGO® Free Play & Wellbeing sessions combine child-led LEGO® play with elements of the Calm Cats Therapeutic Activity Curriculum, creating a welcoming space for children to build, move, connect and unwind.

Children are free to follow their own ideas and imaginations, building whatever they choose and engaging with others as much or as little as feels comfortable. Alongside the LEGO® free play, we weave in optional Calm Cats activities including movement, breathing, mindfulness and relaxation.

There’s no right or wrong way to take part. Children can create independently, build alongside others, share ideas or simply enjoy some time doing something they love.

During the session, children can:

🧱 Enjoy plenty of child-led LEGO® free play

✨ Build, create and follow their own ideas

💛 Develop confidence through doing something they enjoy

🤝 Connect naturally with other children without pressure to socialise

🧠 Use imagination, problem-solving and flexible thinking

🌿 Explore simple Calm Cats movement, breathing and relaxation activities

🌈 Enjoy a calm, inclusive environment where different ways of playing and participating are welcomed

Perfect for children who:

• Love LEGO®, building and creating

• Prefer child-led activities rather than highly structured clubs

• Enjoy having the freedom to follow their own interests

• Find large, noisy or highly demanding groups overwhelming

• Are neurodivergent, whether diagnosed, undiagnosed or exploring possible additional needs

• Would benefit from opportunities to connect with other children naturally and at their own pace

• Simply want a welcoming place to build, play and have fun

No building experience needed — just bring your imagination!
