I am delighted you have chosen to attend this session and look forward to meeting you. Below are some simple guidelines to help you get the most out of your experience:
My aim is to provide a welcoming and relaxing space for everyone, so please arrive promptly. You will not be able to enter once the session has started.
Please put your phone on silent or turn it off when you arrive.
Wear comfortable, warm clothing that allows you to move freely. You will be lying (or sitting) down during the gong bath.
Avoid eating heavily before the session and do not drink alcohol or take any illegal substances prior to attending.
Like most holistic approaches, sound therapy sessions can sometimes trigger a personal process. If this happens, remember to stay mindful and be a compassionate witness to your experience. If anything challenging comes up, you can always come back to your breathing, open your eyes, or focus on the sound.
I am a qualified Sound Therapy Practitioner (British Academy of Sound Therapy). My approach is underpinned by a reflective method, which can help you process your experience. Sound therapy is a complementary holistic approach and should not be considered a replacement for other forms of treatment, such as counselling or medical care.
