2026/27 BTEC Teamwork and Personal Development in the Community.
Initial Advice and Guidance launch session, Gloucestershire Scouts
You must be at least 16 but not yet 18 on 1st September 2026
The BTEC is primarily an online course but this full day session is to meet the tutor team, learn what the BTEC is and to embark on (and hopefully complete) the first couple of Units. The BTEC recognises work you have already done in scouting so you don't have to do it again e.g. DofE Expedition covers the Mapping and Navigation Units.
Gather together any certificates you have as evidence of your achievements (DofE, GCSE, Young Leader Belt, Chief Scouts Award etc). These will be required in advance of the day where possible.
More joining instructions will be sent nearer the date.
