Understanding Sex, Gender and Sexuality in the Workplace
6 hours

This full-day training is designed for professionals at every level, focusing on practical ways to promote inclusive and equitable workplace practices and environments.

This course uses discussion-based training to explore and answer difficult and ‘controversial’ questions surrounding gender, sex, and sexuality through a human-centred lens. Discussions prioritize diverse perspectives and lived experiences, aiming to translate this knowledge into increased confidence in interacting with queerness in the workplace.

Participants will acquire practical skills applicable both professionally and personally in a course designed to emphasize connection and shared human experience.
This course aims to tackle biased questions with the goal of refocusing attention on the individual before us.

If you have ever wondered, "Why do some individuals use they/them pronouns?" this course is for you!

Learning Outcomes:

  • Recognize the intersectional dimensions of identity and their impact on lived experiences.
  • Discuss informed viewpoints on contemporary debates and challenges related to gender and sexuality.
  • Apply knowledge to critically assess and address issues of inequality, discrimination, and marginalization in various contexts.
  • Explore tools and strategies that promote inclusivity, equity, and social justice in personal and professional settings.
