Note: This course has now started and is unavailable to book. Booking for future Absolute Beginners courses will open at the end of February. We also have a Taster Session on 17th March at Big Penny Social - more details to come! In the meantime we’d love you to join our all ability Ceili classes!
This is a 9-week course for absolute beginners. It's a friendly and supportive class for those with absolutely zero previous experience Irish dancing!
We'll cover the very basics of solo Irish step dancing in light shoes, leaving you feeling confident with the fundamentals of light-shoe Irish dancing!
The class is in a beautiful new venue, literally next to Highgate tube station on the Northern line.
This is perfect for anyone who is a total beginner and looking to learn the basics and build their confidence over 9 weeks.
Each class is 1.5 hours, so 13.5 hours of teaching total for the course.
FAQ’s
- You don’t need to be fit! Everyone takes it at their own pace.
- We have adults between 18 and 80 years old join our classes - all ages welcome!
- You don’t need any dance shoes - trainers are perfect!
- If you have any accessibility needs, let us know and we’ll support you.
- If you have to miss a class, don't worry, we send videos after every class so that you can catch up on what you missed, and we will recap everything the following week.
💃🏻 Your teacher will be Jessie Leach - certified Irish Dancer teacher with CLRG, former Riverdance cast member and former All-Ireland, Great Britain and North American champion of Irish Dance.
🍻 This is a social and supportive class followed by a trip to the pub next door each week!
Note: This course must be booked as a block course.

Instrucciones
💧 Bring a bottle of water and wear something you're happy to sweat in! Loop earplugs are recommended to anyone who is sensitive to loud sounds.

Refunds:
No refunds are allowed for individual classes included on this course if a full-course ticket has been purchased.
You may cancel your booking for a course, without charge, up to 72 hours before the start of the first Session. Please email hello@jigandaswig.co.uk up to 72 hours before the course start time to confirm cancellation and request a refund.
We are unable to offer refunds for any cancellations made within 72 hours of the first class, unless in exceptional circumstances.
