Expect a warm welcome and the opportunity to relax at this special stretch and sound bath sandwiched in between the festive busyness, the Winter Equinox, the New Moon in Capricorn and the New Year!
A great time for a re-set, escaping to this sonic sanctuary and getting some much needed R&R time!
This candlit session will begin with some gentle floor-based somatic stretches (SATYA) and calming breathing practices to unwind any tension and prepare the body and mind for deep relaxation.
Then it's time to settle yourself in your 'rest nest' using bolsters, cushions, blankets etc, and listen to a short guided relaxation followed by a sound bath using a variety of instruments including singing bowls, sansula, koshi chimes, drum, gong and percussion instruments alongside vocal work.
The different harmonics combine to create an altered state of consciousness as the brainwave state calms and slows down the body relaxes and finds stillness. Everyone will have their own unique experience afterward some may find the sonic massage has left them relaxed, energised, or more reset; and it's never the same! Once the sounds have ended you'll be invited to sit, have some chocolate and then head downstairs for a warm drink to prepare you for the journey home.
No experience is necessary and all are welcome just come with an open mind and heart.
You may choose to sit for the sound bath but most people prefer to lie on the floor in a supported rest position. Yoga equipment will be provided however if you prefer your own blanket, eye mask and closed-top drinking cup feel free to bring them along. Wear warm layers as during relaxation the body can cool down.
