November is Domestic Violence Awareness Month! Klinic Community Health is hosting a virtual Lunch and Learn on Screening for and Health Impacts of Intimate Partner Violence on Thursday, November 28, 2024 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. CST.
Please join Ashely Stewart, Nurse Coordinator for Klinic’s sexual assault and intimate partner violence crisis response program (Hummingbird), as she shares her experiences and the importance for health care providers to ask about intimate partner violence (IPV) during routine care. A brief screening tool will be shared with participants as well as a discussion on the healthcare impacts of violence, reproductive coercion and the importance of screening as a provider.
This Lunch and Learn is geared towards nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, and physician assistants. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and will be provided with resources following the presentation.
This event is being held virtually. You will receive a Teams/Zoom link in your Booking Confirmation Email.
