Employment Law Seminar, Bill of Rights Act: Legacy & Lessons - Where to now?

miércoles, 13 agosto '25   17:15 – 19:45 NZST
New Zealand Law Society, 307 Durham Street North, Christchurch Central City, Christchurch, 8013

Datos

The second seminar in the series of three is the Employment Law Seminar.

A panel of employment law experts will discuss the following:

  • What relevance might New Zealand’s Bill of Rights Act (BORA) have for
    employment law?

  • What impact, if any, might BORA have on how we conceptualise the fair
    and reasonable employer?

  • Which employment institutions are required to uphold BORA principles,
and how do they handle complaints and claims?

Panellists: Chief Judge Christina Inglis, Kathryn Dalziel, John Farrow and Professor Annick Masselot.

Join us for an in-depth seminar exploring these critical questions, as well as insights from international jurisdictions on integrating human rights into employment law. Learn how BORA serves as an essential—though often overlooked—tool for both employers and employees in fostering fair and lawful workplaces.
