'Steady Ground' is our first group focused on supporting the parents and caregivers of young people with additional support needs*, using connection with nature and with each other as a way to support mental and emotional wellbeing. We want to give parents and caregivers the chance to take some time for themselves, providing the opportunity to connect and share your experiences with others who understand, while having a hot cuppa over the campfire.
These sessions are FREE thanks to support from Voluntary Action South Lanarkshire (VASLan) and the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund.
*Please note, your child or young person do not need to have a diagnosis for you to be able to attend.
We have a limited number of child spaces so that those whose children are struggling to attend school can still come along. Please select a Parent + One Child ticket if this applies to you (this ticket is for one child - if you need to bring more than one child, please contact us at office@outlet.scot before booking).
Please note - if your child will struggle to be in a group with other children, you are still welcome to bring them along but would ask that they remain with you for the session - this can be reviewed on a session-by-session basis
If you'd like more info before booking, call us, DM us or email office@outlet.scot
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
In these difficult times it's important to us that all our programmes are either FREE at the point of use, or as affordable as they can be, so that families who are in financial hardship are still able to benefit from these sessions.
We are grateful to have received funding to support this programme. However, funding is limited - and we can only continue to run until the funding runs out so we need your help!
If you can, please do 'Play it Forward' and continue supporting the mental health and well-being of all the children and their families in our community. Make a donation to help us sustain OutLET and keep sessions free for those who are really struggling right now.

We recommend wearing layers and bringing waterproofs to accommodate the ever-changing Scottish weather, and sturdy footwear. Long sleeves and trousers are best, even in hot weather, to protect from stings and insect bites. Please wear sunscreen and insect repellent.
Please note OutLET staff are there to facilitate the session. Adults attending will remain responsible for any children they bring along
