Why Mental Health First Aid?
1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem of some kind each year. In the UK last year there were 595,000 cases of work-related stress, depression or anxiety, which led to approximately 15.4 million working days being lost in 2019. Early research shows a 66.9% increase in stress levels and a 57.2% increase in anxiety as a result of Covid. The consequences of this will continue to ripple through our lives for years to come, impacting overall happiness, levels of resilience, employee engagement and work-days lost through absence.
