Scent detection training is widely used across the world for working and operational services. Our amazing dogs have been used to search for drugs, bombs, firearms, cash, contraband, missing people and human remains. Even more amazing, in recent years dogs are being used for assistance purposes: Medical alert (diabetes and epilepsy) and medical detection (such as detecting cancer cells in humans…WOW!)
This 6 week UK Sniffer Dogs course for beginners aims to give you, as owners, the skills to train and take part in scent training activities with your own pet dogs (just like the working scent detection dogs!)

PLEASE NOTE: For this course there will be a 2 week break. There will be no sessions running on Saturday 26th April and Saturday 3rd May due to other commitments.
What to bring to each session:
🔹 A red classic KONG
🔹Your dog’s favourite training treats
🔹A small bowl of water
🔹Poo bags
🔹Dog with a nose
🔹A positive training attitude!
We will be working both indoors and outdoors during the course so please bring suitable, comfortable footwear such as trainers or boots. A selection of layers and a coat/jacket is also advisable. Family members are welcome to come along and watch/take turns with the training. Children over 4 years only.
T&C’s:
• Full payment is required at the time of booking. This payment is non-refundable in the event of non-attendance.
• Handlers must ensure their dog is vaccinated up to date and evidence of this must be provided upon request.
• Handlers with a bitch in season must notify the tutor in advance of the class so an alternative arrangement can be made if necessary.
• Any dog which has suffered from a contagious/zoonotic disease must not attend classes.
• Handlers accept that training with Puppy School Mid Cheshire is undertaken at their own risk. Their dog remains their responsibility at all times.
• Dogs are to remain on leads at all times unless otherwise instructed by the trainer.
• Spectators and children over 4 years old are welcome to attend but please give prior notice.
• Every possible care will be taken to ensure the safety of dogs, handlers, family members and possessions when at the training venue. However, Puppy School Mid Cheshire, or any individual associated with the organisation, accept no liability for any loss, damage or injury to any dogs, persons or property, however this may be caused.
• We reserve the right to ask any handler to leave class if their dog is aggressive towards other dogs or people, or if the dog is stressed and a class environment is clearly not suitable.
• Non-compliance of these rules may lead to your removal from the UK Sniffer Dogs course.
• By booking and paying for this course, you are agreeing to all terms and conditions listed above.
