This is SERC's oldest and most refined workshop. This jam packed two days go over how to run a sexual health educational group with those of various ages (in or out of a classroom environment). Think of it as a sexuality educator starter pack.
This workshop has been formed through hundreds of workshops our youth facilitators have completed over the years with thousands of participants. We also get practice every year training teachers in 5 schools divisions.
We will cover the theoretical approach to our work along with some tools for evaluating and constructing your own sessions. After that we go through topic areas and try out activities together. After the workshop you will be prepared to begin facilitating the activities in your programming right away.
Light refreshments will be available at this workshop but no meal. Participants can bring their own food or go out during the break.
