Join Melonie in the beautiful ReikiSpace barn for a deep day of creation!
Across the day we will ground and set the intentions for bringing our drums into being.
Then we will choose our hoops - we work intuitively, listening to the wood and letting the one that calls come to us!
Then we do the same with the hides. Melonie brings a range of hides and we will feel them, move around them and find which is calling us!
Once we have spent time honouring the hides we will measure, cut and get all the pieces ready.
Then we weave, bringing the hoop and hide together as your beautiful drum.
In this workshop we will use a ring and beautifully sanded piece of wood for our handles.
You are welcome to bring your own piece of wood or use one of Melonie's.
There will be opportunity to use the pyrography pen to place a simple symbol or word onto your stick, if you wish also.
Once created we will make a simple beater and then journey to meet the spirit of your drum!
It is bound to be an amazing day!
