Are you a physio, fitness professional, exercise specialist, personal trainer, group fitness trainer, yoga or Pilates instructor?
1 in 350 people in the UK have a stoma. Would you know how to support a a client with a stoma? Are you equipped and knowledgeable to train or rehab your client safely? Are you up to date with the new EXPASS guidelines?
In this fundamentals CPD workshop you’ll learn the following:
*What are stomas, different types, surgeries and why they’re formed
*The impact of stoma surgery on the muscles and structure of the body
*How to modify and adapt exercises including core and pelvic floor
*Learn how to assess intra-abdominal pressure and breathing mechanics
*Return to exercise guidelines, timelines and the EXPASS matrix
*Plenty of time for Q&A

Workshop is held on zoom
Ensure good wi-fi connection and privacy for quality learning
Workshop will be recorded and shared with participants afterwards
For optimal learning we encourage participants to fully engage in the workshop, including joining in breakout groups, having camera on and being present in the learning.
Some floor and chair based exercises will be shown and participation is encouraged. Have a yoga/fitness mat if possible.
Cancellation policy - 50% refund 14 days (or more) prior to the workshop. After that no refunds possible as workshop will be recorded and sent automatically to all bookings. Available for one month post workshop on video.
