Shake, stir, sip, repeat!
Join us at The Third Door for a hands-on mixology experience exploring the art and evolution of one of the world’s most iconic cocktails: the martini.
Led by our Beverage Manager, Kat, you’ll learn the techniques behind a great martini while diving into its history, Prohibition-era cocktail culture, and the spirits and ingredients that have shaped it over the years.
Throughout the evening, you’ll build three martinis, starting with the drink in its most classic form: a Dry Gin Martini. From there, you’ll shake things up with a Dirty Gin Martini, choosing between traditional olive brine or a savory tomato variation made with tomato-infused vermouth. Finally, we’ll jump from classic to modern with a Tequila Espresso Martini featuring Oaxacan coffee liqueur and vanilla.
Each table will have a stocked cocktail cooler with everything you need to create your drinks, along with shakers, mixing glasses, bar spoons, glassware, fresh garnishes, and ice. Kat will guide you through each cocktail step-by-step, teaching you the techniques and stories behind what’s in your glass.
We’ll have charcuterie to graze on throughout the evening, and you’ll leave with a mixology item of your own to keep the cocktails going at home.
