This one-day expedition medicine course equips mountaineers, trekkers, and expedition leaders with the knowledge and practical skills needed to recognise, prevent, and manage altitude illness in remote environments. Covering acclimatisation, AMS, HACE, HAPE, cold injury, and evacuation planning, the course focuses on safe decision-making when medical support may be limited or delayed. Through realistic case scenarios and expedition-based problem solving, participants will build confidence in leading and caring for teams at altitude.[Note, this is not a 16-hour first aid course and does not meet the requirements for Outdoor Instructor Qualifications. This course is designed to be a more in depth and is aimed specifically at the kinds of incidents walkers, climbers and mountaineers may encounter when adventures go wrong)
