the Knaresborough Castle Riot in 1886. The Knaresborough Eleven tells
the story of a community standing together in the face of injustice.

Devised through community workshops, the play draws on local research
conducted by Howard Johnson, a descendent of one of the Rioters, Jackie
Glew, who wrote The Extraordinary Tale of the Castle Yard Riot, and is
proudly supported by the Knaresborough Museum, Rabbit Head Productions
Ltd and Knaresborough Town Council.
