Join us for this eight-week course exploring various textile design skills, and use them to design and construction of your own tote bag. This supportive and inclusive workshop is ideal for beginners, as well as those looking to gain an introduction to a range of textile techniques in a relaxed learning environment.
Over the first part of the course, participants will explore different textile techniques, such as decorative embroidery stitching, fabric painting, and a variety of printing methods. Here you can unleash your creativity creating samples of each technique.
In the second half of the course, participants will bring their ideas together to design and construct their own unique tote bag. They will learn the fundamentals of pattern cutting, measuring, and fabric selection, before using sewing machines to assemble, line, and finish their bag.
