RYA YOUTH SAILING SCHEME – Start Racing Full Day 9.30 am to 4 pm
Students should have achieved Youth Stage 4 to participate.
It will be run across five days full days.
Minimum Age: 8
Content of the course
Start Racing:
All the skills required to start club racing, including basic start sequences and timing; improved tacking and gybing, using the 5 essentials to best effect and having a basic understanding of the racing rules
Dinghy Club Racing:
Designed to build on current basic racing skills
Helping to improve the key principles of Line bias and the first beat
Stopping and hovering
Roll tacks and gybes
Adapting the rig and sail settings

NOTE: There is a non-refundable administration fee of for each transaction
What to Bring
– Wetsuit boots or an old pair of trainers
– Swimwear for under the wetsuit, towel, dry change of clothes
– Sunscreen/cap
– Water/juice, lunch and snacks
*Note: wellington boots, wetsuit socks, flip-flops and Crocs are NOT suitable footwear for dinghy sailing.
We can provide buoyancy aids (can’t guarantee all the sizes).
Changing rooms & showers are available.
Pick up time is strictly 4 pm.
