RYA YOUTH SAILING SCHEME – Stage 1 & 2 and Improvers - Mornings 9.30 - 12.30
This course is for those new to sailing and wanting to achieve Stage 1 or 2 and Improvers, i.e. those who have achieved a higher level in the past but have not sailed for a while.
It will be run across five half days and there is no prior experience required.
Minimum Age: 8
Content of the course
Launching and recovery, steering, parts of the boat, basic sailing.
Ability after the course
Able to steer and understand basic principles.

House and Non-Members – £130
NOTE: There is a non-refundable administration fee of for each transaction
What to Bring
– Wetsuit boots or an old pair of trainers
– Swimwear for under the wetsuit, towel, dry change of clothes
– Sunscreen/cap
– Water/juice and snacks
*Note: wellington boots, wetsuit socks, flip-flops and Crocs are NOT suitable footwear for dinghy sailing.
We can provide buoyancy aids (can’t guarantee all the sizes).
Changing rooms & showers are available.
Pick up time is strictly 12:30, failure to do so would affect our ability to run the next course.
