Employing a junior lawyer

There is not a day that goes by when we do not hear how busy family lawyers are and in most cases family lawyers have no capacity to take on additional clients. The FLS has for some time been concerned about the lack of junior lawyers choosing to take up the practice of family law. If you are a barrister or firm, taking on a junior lawyer can feel like a daunting step but it doesn’t have to be. The FLS has asked one of Christchurch’s top barristers, Kathryn Dalziel, who has over 35 years’ experience in employment law to present on employing a junior in the family law space.

This webinar will cover:

  • Independent agreements
  • Individual agreements: casual, permanent, part time, full time
  • Top tips for employment agreements
  • Getting juniors approved as legal aid providers
