One-off taster session

Saturday, 10 October '26   2pm – 6:30pm BST
The Kiln Rooms Farringdon, 11 Eagle Court, London, EC1M 5QD
18 years and over
5 spaces available

Details

These 4.5 hour sessions are for complete beginners and provide an insight into the possibilities of working with clay.

We will introduce people to throwing on a wheel and hand building through demonstrations and plenty of hands on exercises. We then fire and glaze 3-4 pieces of work that you make, which can be collected 3-4 weeks later. We will also walk you through other skills such as decorating, glazing and mould work, providing a good understanding of what goes on in a ceramics studio.

A session costs £120 per person and this includes all materials and firings, meaning that there are no additional costs.

In the event of non-attendance or arriving late to classes it is not possible to provide alternative studio time, or for a class to be rescheduled. Classes are at fixed times to cover the cost of tuition. We run at full capacity so it is not possible to swap classes or use the studio outside of the allotted class times to 'catch up'. Please ensure you check your travel plans ahead of the session, in case of any disruptions.

Refunds: 20 days or more before the start date of a course or session, we can provide a full refund (minus a £5 booking fee). Between 20 and 10 days prior to the start of a course or session we will refund 50% of the total fees paid (minus a £5 booking fee). We provide NO refunds 9 days before the start date of the course or session. Once the course begins there are no refunds.
