Discover the art of traditional jewellery making in this hands-on workshop using recycled silver. You’ll learn how to create a classic tube setting and securely set a round brilliant gemstone into silver tubing. Guided through techniques including measuring, forming, soldering, setting, sanding, and polishing, you’ll craft a beautiful handmade silver pendant with a professionally finished gemstone setting.

Level: Ideal for beginners – no previous experience required.

The taster workshop takes place at SilverHub Jewellery School, 40 Ferry Road Edinburgh EH64AE

Health and Safety Information:

• Please wear appropriate footwear. Slip on shoes and high heels are a hazardous feet and toes MUST be covered.

• Please dress appropriately as it can get dusty and dirt and as we move into the winter months, please do layer up and wear warm shoes or boots.

• Please tie your hair up if it is shoulder length or longer and bring a hair slide if you have a fringe to clip any long fringes back.

There is no on street parking, however there is arrange on local streets which may have a place for parking. You can also get public transport from Princes Street to Ferry Road. The Number 7 or 14 bus is the most regular and takes you right to the front door.
