We are taking part in the Isle of Wight Biosphere Festival by running a free forest school session!
Did you know that tucked away on the outskirts of Ryde at Haylands Farm there is a little woodland where we meet regularly to connect to nature?
Join Lizzie, Forest School Leader, on the Sunday afternoon of the Festival where we will go on a bug hunt to see what we can find, spend time listening and observing the birds and creating some nature crafts. There will also be mud kitchen play, pirate ship fun and a hot chocolate and campfire toasted marshmallows sat around the fire.

🕥 Please arrive 5mins before the start, we will meet at Haylands Farm entrance gate and walk up to the Forest School area.
⏰ The session is 1hr30mins
🧑🧒 Adults are fully responsible for their child/ren during the session
🚘 As it’s a Sunday we are able to park on the farm premises
💦 We will be getting a bit wet and muddy in the mud kitchen so a light puddle suit is recommended
🧼 There are hand washing facilities in the Forest School area and regularly cleaned toilets on site
☕️ Please bring along a cup and bowl for hot chocolate and a campfire snack for your little ones. Feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks.
🍪 Let me know any dietary requirements prior to the session
🌧 The sessions will still go ahead in the rain
💨 The sessions will cancel if winds speed get up to or above 40mph
🎫 Please let us know if you can’t make it as I can then offer the space to someone else.
