Tin Wreath Workshop (rs)

Details

Have fun creating a mini-wreath, or table decoration, out of old biscuit tins and wire which can be enjoyed all year round. Traditional or contemporary, the choice is yours.
We’ll be making our base out of soft black iron wire and then cutting up tins for decoration. You might like to opt for a traditional Christmas mini-wreath with ivy and holly leaves, red berries and bow, or go contemporary with colourful summer flowers and wacky leaves.
All materials and tools will be supplied. Plenty of examples will be on hand for inspiration along with flower and leaf templates but do bring along any of your own (simple) designs you’d like to use.
No experience required.

Suitable for 18+

Tutor Philippa Johnston is a Fife-based metalsmith and textile artist who works with recycled tin, wire and other materials to create decorative and functional pieces inspired by traditional and contemporary folk art and her love of colour.
All materials and equipment provided.
Please bring a packed lunch. Tea & coffee is available at the Centre.
