Forgan Arts Centre, 59 KIRK ROAD, NEWPORT ON TAY, FIFE, DD6 8JB

12 spaces available

Details

Mindful making
Using pinching methods we will make a series of small tea bowls, working in a way that relies on
the sense of touch to form the work. This is a quiet, rhythmic and focused process, by closing
your eyes you begin to ‘sense’ through your finger tips.

We will form the work over the first day,
refining and burnishing the bowls on the second day.
Work will be dried and fired over 2 weeks, and on the 3rd and final workshop, we will then smoke
fire the pieces using natural and man-made materials to produce subtle and beautiful markings on
the surface that enhance the forms.
All materials provided.
