7 WEEK BLOCK
An exciting class for those new to upholstery or continuing with a current Forgan project.
Kenny will guide you through a variety of techniques and introduce you to the equipment needed for a small upholstery project.
There is a limited number of tools available at the Centre for the class to share. You may choose to invest in your own along the way.
To get started you will need a measuring tape, tailors chalk, fabric scissors and to bring a piece of furniture to work on. Don’t worry! This needn’t be expensive.
Upholstery starter project - a dining chair or stool, drop in dining seat or small footstool. No armchairs or large items. Upholstery is all about building up your skills, starting from the basics and developing into more complex techniques as you go on.
Unless you struggle with mobility, or travel on public transport to the centre, you must transport your project back and forth with you.
If you feel you need a chair to be stored at the Centre between classes, please contact the office at info@forganartscentre.co.uk
Please note that we do not take sofas, 2 seaters, chaise longue or large or complex projects that will take up too much space or tutors time in the class.
Unless you struggle with mobility, or travel on public transport to the centre, you must transport your project back and forth with you.
We only have a limited space to store chairs, and this will now be kept for those in most need.
If you feel you need a chair to be stored at the Centre between classes, please contact the office at info@forganartscentre.co.uk so that we can check there will be room before you commit to a chair.
We do not take responsibility for any damage or loss of chairs kept on the premises and will turn away projects deemed inappropriate for this class.
