Little Shoots outdoor baby and pre-school group
Little Shoots is held in the lawns and woodland of Forgan Arts Centre for under 5s, along with their adults and young siblings.
Explore the Forgan Arts Centre garden, sow a seed or two, and grow your wee one's love of plants in a fun and creative environment. Finishes with a tea and coffee social inside.
Come dressed for all weathers and ready to get your hands dirty!

Session leader Hollie (Wild Fife Babies and Bairns) is a Conservationist and promoter of Citizen Science (public participation in scientific research). Hollie uses her environmental background, experience of working with young children and her own knowledge as a parent to run fun and relaxed sessions for you and your little ones.
The overall theme of the sessions is 'growth'. We will look at themes such as:
Food for people
Feeding wildlife
Pollinator's
Art in nature
Mindfulness for families - growing mental fitness
Families/ carers with children aged 3 months - 5 years old are welcome to come and take part with their children. We will have baby sensory play, art and crafts, games, stories, songs and a wee bit of science!
Free tea, coffee and juice is available at the centre.
Wild Fife Babies and Bairns’ main aim is to ignite and encourage the natural curiosity and inquisitiveness of young children in nature, so that hopefully not only will they develop a love and respect for the natural world but will also gain from all the benefits it has to offer for their own physical and emotional development along the way.
Standard tickets cost £6 per week for an adult with 1 child/baby plus £2.50 per week for an additional child/baby.
The sessions are booked as a block, but if there are spaces still available once the block has started, you may be able to infill for the remaining sessions. The price will automatically reduce to reflect the number of sessions left to attend.
For those on benefits or low - no income families, we have low cost to no cost tickets. Please only select these tickets where this applies to your families needs.
Tickets are booked per adult and include 1 child. Additional adults, and additional children/babies will require a further ticket. Babies that will not be participating do not require to book a space.
We have limited places on the group, so when booking, please make sure to book all of the places that you will need to ensure that there is a place for you all in the sessions. We would hate to have to turn anyone away on the day.
Hollie is here to guide your fun nature sessions, but adults must supervise their children at all times.

If travelling by car, please park at Waterstone crook car park and make your way up to the centre. We have limited parking at the Centre which is reserved for blue badge holders and those with limited mobility only.
CANCELLATIONS
Refunds - can be issued up to 2 weeks before classes begin, minus a £10 booking fee.
No refunds can be offered for non-attendance .
If a course is cancelled by the Centre due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be issued with a full /pro- rata refund.

The safety of visitors to Forgan Arts Centre is important to us, so please be careful on your travels by foot or transport.

Tea and coffee is available at the Centre. If attending a day long course or workshop, please bring a packed lunch. We do not have a café.
