Details

Heather Gilbert is offering 2 exciting Weekend Raku Firing workshops exclusively for our potters this term!

10am - 4pm

If you have not seen Raku before, you won't be disappointed. This is an entirely unique experience, with fire, smoke and lot's of fun.

There are 2 workshops available with a maximum of 8 places on each day so grab your spot soon to make sure you can be part of it.

Time is of the essence so book in and start making pieces now. All work must be dry and ready for bisque firing in advance.

Raku clay or crank is recommended for best chance of success and is available to purchase from the centre. Other clay can be used but with an increased risk of cracking.

Information and advice can be given on suitability of work to make, and any other questions can be made to Heather via info@forganartscentre.co.uk

On the day…….

Please wear warm /old clothes as it is smoky and can be dirty too.
We will be doing the firings whatever the weather.
Bring your lunch and beverages.
The unpredictable nature of these types of firings add to the fun and excitement of the workshop, giving a day full of surprises!
