4 WEEK BLOCK

Jennifer Robson is a practising artist, Duncan of Jordanstone graduate and tutor. Jen is originally from Dundee, and now lives in Fife with her partner and puppy, and works from her garden studio.

She makes visceral drawings and paintings based on the human figure, and more recently her work explores the figure in landscape and our connection to nature.
Life drawing informs her practice, as she uses the body as a vessel to explore, respond to, and express the human experience.

Join Jen Robson for a block of Life Drawing classes. Each week Jen will share her techniques and insights with you, with drawing demonstrations of a live life Model.

Fall in love with line, gets to grips with measuring and Proportions, learn how to create and expressive and emotive line filled with life. Try various forms of Graphite, charcoal and charcoal pencils, study tone with the rub away charcoal and putty rubber technique, try mixing charcoal and white chalk to create highlights, experiment with blind, non-dominant hand and stick drawings. Be bold and approach colour.

In this relaxed and welcoming class, you can take part in the weeks focus or just do your own thing. All while being creatively nurtured and supported by Jen.

Suitable for complete beginners to well-practiced artists looking to share the experience.

Please note: This course will run in 2 blocks. You do not need to attend one to attend the next and can still book the course to infill on any remaining dates once course has begun. There will always be beginners and returners in each class.
